Stage 3 Tune Requirements
Vehicles chosen for this level of tuning and power extraction require extensive hardware modifications to be done as follows:
- Larger Turbo
- Larger Intercooler
- Larger Charge Pipes
- High Flow Induction System
- Decat/Catalytic Converter Removal
- Full Front to Rear Exhaust System
- Water Methanol Injection
- Lowered Compression Ratio (Thicker Headgasket, Dished Pistons, machined head)
- Forged Pistons
- H-Beam or I-Beam Connecting Rods (Conrods) - If necessary
- Aftermarket Boost Controller (The OEM ECU will not be able to control the boost rise)
- Upgraded Fuel Delivery System (High Flow Low Pressure Fuel Pump, Upgraded High Pressure Pump)
- Larger Fuel Injectors (Most Direct Injection Vehicles do not require this)
- High Octane Fuel (Ethanol Mixture/ Octane Booster Additive) to the tank
What will be done:
- Lift the Boost Pressures to maximum achievable
- Removal of Torque Limiters/ Load limits
- More Aggressive Pedal Maps
- Removal of Catalytic Converter in file
- Scaling of Fuel Injectors
- Scaling of MAF Housing
- Scaling of MAP Sensor
- Multi Profile Configuration of Aftermarket Boost Controller
- Adjust Fueling System to suit
- Adjust Timing to suit knock monitoring feedback
In order to achieve the best results in the ECU remapping the following must be carried out before arrival
Vehicles engine must be recently serviced with the following:
- Oil
- Oil Filter
- Fuel Filter
- Air Filter (Panel Replaced or Serviced if Aftermarket)
- Water Methanol Injection system must be serviced (filters cleaned, pressure checked)
